Let's Learn About the Big Island!

Before we embark on our exciting Big Island trip, it is important that we know about the place we will be visiting. The Big Island is the nickname given to the island of Hawaii. Hawaii, or the Big Island, is the largest of the 8 Hawaiian islands. It is made up of 5 volcanoes. On our trip, we will visit 3 of them: Mauna Kea, which is dormant, Mauna Loa, which is the largest volcano in the world, and Kilauea

Let's work together to learn about each of these volcanoes!  Students, I would like you each to pick one of the three volcanoes to study.  You will research information about this volcano, such as the history or what makes it unique.  You will then post the information you found to this blog.  By the time we leave, we will know all about where we are going!
